Sure, we’re usually more focused on bread than we are on cakes, but we were so impressed by these incredible cake creations from the UK that we just had to share!
Take Away Cakes
Baker Selena McCloud from the UK’s fast food cakes are so realistic that her children have tried to grab chips! Her first creation was in the style of a KFC bucket, and she has since baked up McDonald’s replicas, fish and chips and cheesy chips. Each cake takes days to make, with each item handcrafted – chips are made with shortbread, and chicken batter is made with rice krispies and marshmallows.
Heinz Cupcakes
Hummingbird Bakery teamed up with Heinz to celebrate the company’s 150th anniversary with a novel range of 5 cupcakes. Each cupcake features a signature Heinz product, and it’s hard to believe that these flavours have worked! Boris Johnson Cake
A life-sized Boris Johnson cake was unveiled at the Cake and Bake Show, created by Rosie Dummer who starred in TV Show Extreme Cake Makers. The cake, chocolate sponge with chocolate frosting and ganache, captures the iconic 2012 moment when Boris Johnson, who was then Mayor of London, dangled on a zip wire during the London Olympic Games.
