In December 2015, Anchor Yeast built a new kitchen at Kusakusa Primary, a few minutes away from the Anchor Yeast Durban plant. The new building replaced the container kitchen with a brick structure, fitted with the necessary appliances and a storage room.
School principal, Tholakele Hlela said the donation has touched the lives of the staff and pupils. “Our new kitchen is so beautiful, spacious and conducive for preparing and cooking healthy food. We will keep the kitchen clean and neat at all times and promise to manage it well for many years to come.”
